Andrew Hall Cutler’s Legacy of Healing

andyandkidAndrew Hall Cutler 1956-2017

What do you do when someone passes away who meant so much to you? A beloved teacher and mentor, and yet more than that, because his knowledge, time, and efforts were instrumental in you and/or your child’s ability to function?

The pillars of support have fallen and you feel the weight of his legacy on your shoulders, but you know you must push forward and carry on.  Just as he devoted so much of himself for the sake of others so shall you carry the torch and keep the fire lighting the path to wellness.

Your only comfort is the knowledge that you are not alone.  In the ACC world, there is no shortage of people devoting their time and energy to help others.  Selfless people who have taken as their model a teacher with the same quality.

So now we pause as the community mourns together. But tomorrow we are back to work not allowing the seeds he has sown to blow away in the wind.  No! They will continue to be nurtured and the roots will develop deeper and stronger and a new plant will sprout and this grass roots movement will continue. How do I know that?

Because it MUST!

The lives and futures of so many people depend on it.  Andy spent years devoted to revealing the truth and truth will always find a way.  We will help it, passing it along to anyone who will listen.

So while we no longer have Andy to shoot an email to, we have his books, his words, his wisdom to draw from.  We have an amazing group of administrators and moderators at ACCSG and FAW Detoxing Kids. And we have new books coming out and new projects that were started under his guidance that will be finished.

If you read something from some conspiracy site focusing on the circumstances of Andy’s death, know those people did not know him and they have no insight to his legacy.  They are only trying to gain notoriety for themselves on the back of a tragedy.

I spoke to Andy’s girlfriend on the phone today and she made two things crystal clear to me.

One: that she is as determined as Andy was to continue spreading his knowledge and keeping the books available (albeit with some small delay for regrouping).

Two: that the opportunistic conspiracy theorists can “Go eat dead bugs”.

Following are some words of wisdom from our tireless leader:

Andrew Hall Cutler Why am I supposed to tell you that every opinionated idiot in the world is an idiot? Why not just figure it out for yourself?

Andrew Hall Cutler The most polite and ethical explanation is ignorance. It goes downhill from there.

Andrew Hall Cutler I don’t even read drivel like this. I buy salt at the store. It’s fine. You can get it without the caking agent (aluminum containing) if you want, I usually do but then it cakes ;-), funny how that happens, and I have to smash it up every so often.

Andrew Hall Cutler Ummm… yes, …… Though I must say the ones who proclaim themselves to think the most loudly are the least likely to be doing so. Thinking, of course, carries the inherent risk of changing one’s mind. Whether to argue with an open mind has been the subject of debate since Sophocles and Socrates went at it.

Andrew Hall Cutler Why are you tormenting yourself and finding excuses to engage in self-injurious behavior by obsessively searching the web for things you don’t understand? It’s clear from trying to find the website that originated that quote that it’s being parroted back and forth between quacks and charlatans who don’t really have anything original to say.

Andrew Hall Cutler True. Nobody bothers to trash stuff that doesn’t work. E. g. this is how you can tell the MD world actually DOES know vaccines cause autism. Hundreds of papers pretending vaccines don’t cause autism. Almost no papers looking into whether there is a new infectious agent or new industrial chemical that is causing it – there’s no need to research those, the MD world is completely aware of the actual cause.

Andrew Hall Cutler If someone wants to pose a well-phrased question, I might have an answer. For contaminants that always includes the nature or identity of the suspected contaminant, and if possible concentration or amount.

Andrew Hall Cutler You WILL find websites (incorrectly) claiming that just about anything you want to take is bad for you if you make any reasonable effort to look for them. That’s just the nature of the internet.

Andrew Hall Cutler I do very much appreciate how the discovery that some authority figures are lying through their teeth makes you reasonably want to question everything.

Andrew Hall Cutler I’ll bet you dollars to donuts chelation is the cure doctors don’t want to admit exists. Saying this ( Neuromyelitis) and MS are different is like diagnosing a cold as 2 different diseases depending on whether snot comes out of the right or left nostril first.

Andrew Hall Cutler Once you see something as psychotically delusional as that statement, you can stop reading and forget everything you saw on that website.

Andrew Hall Cutler …….. you are doing something called ‘reasoning.’ It became popular several hundred years ago, leading to the historical change from the ‘dark ages’ to the ‘age of reason.’ Physicians never made the transition. Reasoning is not used in medicine, and in keeping with the origin of the medical guild under the Catholic Church wherein aspiring doctors obtained a theology degree but were not ordained and then turned loose to figure out what to do with sick people, those who engage in reasoning are burned at the stake. Nowadays their licenses are figuratively burned at the stake, their bodies are not literally burned at the stake, so there is SOME progress. But it has not yet extended to reasoning replacing prejudice and emotion in medical dogma.

Andrew Hall Cutler “unproven and can be harmful” Tell them wearing clothes is unproven and can be harmful and you expect them to stop immediately! Ask them to go find a double blind crossover trial of clothes versus nudity before they talk to you again. People get strangled by their clothes, get rashes from it, get burned by it catching on fire, trip on it and fall, etc. all the time. Clothing is obviously dangerous! They should produce some evidence of enhanced health before wearing it. After all, the closest available study is when zookeepers checked on the health histories of animals in cold climates but from warm ones that were either let outside during the winter (e. g. in Toronto) or kept in climate controlled habitats. The critters that got to experience the weather were healthier. This suggests your relatives should all start going naked right away!

Andrew Hall Cutler To answer the head post, “what’s the best way to give back?” I’ll give part of an answer here. It’s actually a complicated question.

One very obvious part of the answer: Tressie and Jan, as well as myself, have put a LOT of time into writing good books that are packed with the information you need. These are far cheaper than anything you’re going to do with a doctor involved. They cost no more than a few bottles of pills. You COULD actually buy them instead of asking us to recite their contents time after time!

Then, of course, you could read them, use them as reference books, and search this list and Onibasu before asking us questions.

When you do ask questions, please provide lots of detail. Spell everything out. Don’t make us spend 20 questions and 2 hours to get enough information to say something sensible.

I’ll demonstrate I’m not all that good a businessman here by saying that OF COURSE Tressie, Jan and I appreciate it if you promote our books and tell people to buy them. However, most of the people will think you’re nuts so you might not want to do it all the time. Also, it seldom does much good to get the books for someone – they’re much more likely to read it if they spent the money than if it was a gift.

I’d love it if you all advocate effectively against the vaccine holocaust and the licensed doctor scam. Different people will think that means different things, I’m not going to discuss it so as to not stir up the list or annoy potential book buyers.

I’m sure others can think of a million other things. On occasion, I may make a request of the list for people who can help with X, Y or Z. Obviously, if you truly can help that’s one time you can return me a favor.

Andrew Hall Cutler ND is like MD, DO, DC, etc. A fraud based scam and a liberal art. The idea that taking people unqualified by background to understand their coursework, having them teach the next set, etc. and indoctrinate them with politically correct drivel then punish the ones who don’t go along with it will lead to progress is insane. Licensure started to prevent women and blacks from being doctors. This is well established in the legislative record. This leads to the arrogance mentioned, and the ability to exclude competent competition. It also allows doctors who criticize the profession to be punished. Dr. Wakefield being a great example of this.

Of course, being incompetent it is quite frightening to race the risk of having to stop doing something they were trained to do and figure out what else to do instead. And due to the trade union like nature of the AMA, doctors have to run up BIG student loans to get to be licensed so they need BIG incomes once they do get into practice or they’re going to be in big trouble. Do note, student loans can not be discharged in bankruptcy.

This is all only slightly less coercive than the Catholic Inquisition was in making sure people “keep the faith.” What doctor wants his license very expensively burned at the stake? They’d rather keep feeding at the trough.

But it sits like a bug in my craw that they don’t take injury seriously, nor administering IV, nor their dangerous chelation methods. They just avoid it on you (because you’re “sensitive)” but keep on doing it to everyone else. They won’t read the book; they don’t want to learn what they don’t want to learn. They don’t want to be smarter than the average bear. And come on, the bar is not that high. Somebody already did the work for them.

Did Acetaminophen Provoke the Autism Epidemic?

tylenol bottle closeup

I was invited to view a webinar on a possible connection between Autism and Acetaminophen some months ago.  When I was first told about the next great claim of a definitive cause for Autism, I was skeptical.  I had listened to so many debates on causation and autism.  Honestly, after awhile, the obvious politics involved becomes very tiresome.

I voiced my skepticism, but as this mother proceeded to describe some of the accusations against Acetaminophen (Tylenol), I started to listen more closely.  That is when it hit me.  Unlike all the other causation theories, this could actually explain my child’s Autism and his remarkable improvement through chelation.

You see, my son did not match the typical case histories of othAcetaminophen and Autismer Autistic children.  In fact, I almost failed to pursue biomedical treatments because he did not have a typical story.

My child did not regress.  He never developed normally.  After his diagnosis it became apparent that he was born with Autism.

My child did not have any health problems or frequent ear infections.  In fact the only ear infection and subsequent round of antibiotics he had ever had was at 2.2 years of age, well after his Autism was apparent.

My child was never vaccinated.  I did not receive any vaccines or Rhogam while pregnant.

This was my 5th child.  If his Autism was solely due to my toxic body burden one would expect my previous children to be more affected.

We did not move.  My 3rd child and 4th child were both born and raised in the exact same apartment building as my 5th child.  The environment hadn’t changed.

I really was at a loss and none of the typical biomed explanations quite fit our experience.  Still biomed advocates were proposing using natural safe approaches, like diet modification along with vitamins and other supplements.  These weren’t things that could damage my child, so I really had no reason not to at least give it a go.

We did the GFCF diet and saw improvement.  We did yeast treatments and gut supports, and saw improvement.  He improved on zinc.  He improved on B6.  He improved with almost every intervention we tried.

Then we found AC chelation and he improved to point that most would consider him recovered.  He is in a typical school with typical peers with no supports.  He has friends and has been invited to parties.  In fact, at the end of this year they tested him for the gifted program and determined that he was academically gifted and will start going to an enrichment school one day a week because his typical classroom isn’t quite academically challenging enough.  He is flourishing.  (He does still have some precocious speech and slightly odd gestures but no sign  of Autism.  He was diagnosed with low functioning Autism at age 2.5).

With that kind of drastic improvement with chelation protocol, it was apparent he was metal toxic.  But how?  By now the how didn’t matter much to me.  We left the how question alone to dangle in the wind as we had found the solution, so it didn’t seem important to figure out exactly how the problem started or what the cause could have been.

Never the less the question always dangled, it never totally disappeared from our minds.

Insert the Acetaminophen theory.

You know what was different about my 5th child’s med history?  I was over due and very uncomfortable during my last trimester.  It was so bad that I could not even get two full hours of sleep per night.  I was miserable and exhausted.  My midwife was concerned about whether I would have the energy to mount a proper labor and delivery.  I asked her if there was anything safe I could take while pregnant to help me sleep.  ( I just knew her answer would be no).  She said yes and came back with an Rx for Tylenol 3 with codeine.

I told her I thought it was over kill, “I am uncomfortable but I am not in pain.  I just need some sleep.”

She said that it didn’t cross the placental wall and that although I didn’t need the pain relief, it was the only thing they could give me that was safe for my baby.

I took Tylenol 3 almost every night for 2 weeks.

Quote from article:

Acetaminophen taken during pregnancy may provoke autism present at birth…

Finally, a possible explanation for what we had experienced.  The Tylenol I took may have interfered with his ability to detox environmental toxins as well as impaired his brain function and immune system.  The toxins his body built up could be responsible for the rest.  Is this truth or theory?

At this point it is only theory.  But it is the first theory that had a chance of explaining what we saw, and the research is convincing.  It is solid enough that I would never give Tylenol to another child.  I would recommend all children and pregnant mothers avoid Tylenol and other acetaminophen containing products.  Until more research is done it only makes sense to be cautious.

Autism Idioism: “Some kids just grow out of it.”

Subject: Quinn, a boy with autism, and the lin...

Yes I did just make up a word.  Guilty.

But what would you call a commonly expressed statement made about Autism as if it is fact when it is purely fiction and often rude to boot?

Idiom: A form of expression natural to a language, person, or group of people

Ism: A distinctive practice, system, or philosophy, typically a political ideology.

Idiot: A stupid person.

I am sure you all have a host of unintelligible statements people have made about your child or Autism in general.  I am usually pretty patient with the ignorance but sometimes it just crosses the line.

I was talking to a parent about my sons amazing progress with chelation.  I was explaining that regardless of the politics and double blind peer-reviewed studies doctors need in order to “treat” our children, we as parents can decide if something is helpful based on observation.  That based on the amazing benefits we have seen with chelation it is quite apparent that he had heavy metal poisoning.

That is when another parent felt the need to join the conversation just to tell us about her friend’s child who just grew out if his Autism.  She said that is probably what was happening to my son.  Unbelievable.  What is even more unbelievable is that I have actually had two unrelated people at two separate times make this same suggestion, lol.

Another Autism idioism we hear all the time is that the quiet, quirky kid we sat next to in school was probably Autistic, but they weren’t as good at diagnosing it back then.  (It was actually my son’s pediatrician who said this to me).  One problem with that theory, I do not recall that quirky kid ever flipping out, screaming, throwing things, then hitting, scratching, and biting any teacher who tired to contain him just because someone moved his eraser.  Thanks to chelation we no longer see these total meltdowns, but they were so much a part of our daily lives I can not imagine someone suggesting my son could have ever gone undiagnosed.  No, that quirky kid did not look anything like my son.

Do any of you have Autism Idioisms you’d like to share?

Gains over the years

I didn’t keep a journal or diary of our journey through the autism puzzle, but I was part of several parent groups.  They were really my lifeline during a time when it feels like your world is coming down in front of your eyes and nobody understands what you are going through.  I still cherish these groups and the relationships I developed with other parents.  The most authentic way I could come up with of relating to you the gains we saw with AC protocol was to go back to those groups and grab some of the posts I wrote.

Here is a small compilation of some of the wonderful new skills I observed in my child as we batted out round after round of chelation (see Safe Chelation for more information on the protocol)

July 2009:

I use the ATEC once in awhile to measure where we are at.  I just had to share.  The first ATEC I filled out for my son was after we had started the GFCF diet (which made a huge impact) but before we had done much else.  (We had only known he was autistic for a month or so at this point).  9/13/07  total score 82

This next score is just before chelating with AC protocol but after an initial attempt to get yeast back under control.  3/22/09  total score 37

This is todays score since starting AC chelation.  7/22/09  total score 15

Granted these are just numbers but they are representative of the impact this has made on our entire family’s quality of life.  This score can’t be consistent without being constantly vigilant with the yeast.  We are sure hoping for that point when we get enough metals out that his body can control the yeast.  Wow we are not really that far from managed recovery, in just 4 months.  This just makes us so hopeful for where we could be after years of Chelation.  I know we are all aiming for recovery for our children and that is why we go through all this, and I know I can see the difference in my child, but the numbers just hit home for me.  I had to share!

(My son (4) has been playing with his baby brother (9 months) all morning.  They are laughing, sharing, and enjoying each other, and I am not afraid the baby will get hurt!!)

(Note: We did an ATEC by memory of what he was like at 2.5 years just before his official diagnosis and before we had done at biomed and his starting score was 132.)

June 2010:
Mine ds was four when we started AC chelation (after previous bad protocol).
We did get a few small return of old symptoms. It is difficult for me to
remember everything (I know I should have been keeping a journal and I could
kick myself but for some reason even that knowledge doesn’t motivate me to
do it).

I do remember his dragging his head across the floor while crawling as
something he used to do often that had went away only to reappear briefly
when we began to chelate. Wiping his mouth repeatedly also seems to be
something that comes and goes. Hard to pinpoint and for the most part we
see only gains.

We recently redid our ATEC and Childbrain tests. He scored 5 on the ATEC
(down from 132 at the beginning of our journey 2.5 years old) and a 12, No
PDD on the childbrain (down from 197).

February 2010:
Mine just turned 5 this week and he has started lying. I know this
shouldn’t be a good thing, but its so age appropriate. He has never lied
before this week. It didn’t matter what he did wrong he always told the
truth when questioned.

I was in the other room and he was in kitchen. I hollered out to him, “What are you
doing?” He said, “Eating a sandwich.” Knowing we had no bread I walked in to
find him eating sugar and he laughed and ran out of the room when I caught
him. He has done similar things all week. He made a mess in the living
room and when I asked who did it he blamed his older brother.

Also the other day his big brother wasn’t feeling well and Umar noticed he
was sick and told him he would make him better. Umar then proceeded to put
his big brother in bed and told him a story about giving him swallows and
how it made him all better and then they road on thomas the tank engine and
had fun the rest of the day, LOL. (ok we still have a bit of obsessive
interest going on but we’ll focus on the improvements.)

March 2010:
Our big WOW rounds seem to be over and the past few rounds have just been he
seems better but I can’t put my finger on any one thing. My dh travels and
he is asking me how our ASD guy is doing after last round and I’m saying the
same thing he’s well, seems better, yada yada yada……..

Yesturday, he was in the kitchen chewing on something (never know what that
kid will put in his mouth next), I asked him what are you chewing on? He
recently started answering “W” questions. you know what this little brat
says to me?

“What do you think I’m chewing on?” he says. My jaw dropped. He just started giggling.

April 2010:
As for the changes we’ve seen that I would directly call processing:
My son would incessantly say, “Hi, my name is (name removed) whats your name?”  then he would say oh, hi…….(fill in name)” then stare at you for a minute obviously wanting to say more but unable to communicate any further. then he would just turn and leave the room.

He can now communicate anything he wants to say (he is slow and takes his time tofind the words but he is finding them). He has made up (relativity) original stories, told me about his dreams, made up his own knock knock jokes as well as why did the chicken cross the road jokes (we recently got a chicken), he uses “w” questions, picks on and purposely annoys his older sister. He can even explain to me why he is upset in the midst of crying.

All of these things are directly related to processing and all of this improvement hascome from 21 rounds of AC chelation as we have done no therapies or really anythingmuch new bio-medically. These particular changes are not lost even when yeast flares (this affects his behavior greatly), so they must be due to chelation.

October 2011:
I can tell you that my child wasn’t non-verbal but he had no functional
language when we started this journey. He went from low-moderate
functioning autistic to where we are today. I struggle to describe where
that is. He doesn’t show up on any test for Autism. We had them all (ados,
cars, gars, etc….) ran this summer and they got nothing on any test, no
sensory stuff either. They did tests they couldn’t do before because he was
delayed to get a read and still no delays showed up.

I can apply ATEC numbers he started with an ATEC score of 132 and today he
scores 0.

He still has some communication oddities in his choice of word usage. He
has a large vocabulary for his age and a bit too expressive I’d say. Not am
autistic lilt or singsong tone anymore (he used to), but still some odd
intonations. He has some mild annunciation issues and did qualify
for speech therapy for the letter “L”.

In social settings people are surprised when I tell them I have an autistic
child and they usually guess it must me my 2 year old (non-autistic child,
but he does have yeast and bacteria so he tantrums sometimes). They are
always shocked when they hear it is my 6 year old.

In any other biomed group they would consider him recovered. But I still
see delays and he still needs supplements to maintain and antifungals, and
adrenal cortex. We have only done 80 rounds and we still have a long way to
go, but as for the possibilities, oh ya they are huge. HUGE!!

I am not one to spend a lot of time looking at what we have gained. I tend
to stay focused on what is still left to do, but writing this brings tears
to my eyes when I remember where we were just a couple of years ago. there
is no activity I can’t take my family to and that is amazing.

his principal called me last week and wants to get him tested for the gifted
program because she thinks he has an extremely high IQ. And they want him
to read a book on stage to the entire school for an assembly they are having
this month. He will represent his grade. He is very excited to be able to
read on stage. I am amazed and in awe of what chelation did for my family.

We did not do any other therapies. We put all our eggs in one basket closed
our eyes and plunged headfirst into this and have never once regretted the

How Our Language Developed

My son began with all scripts and labeling with no functional language.  I mean not even a word for Mom or Milk or toy, nothing.  He would just scream and yell until you figured it out by presenting him with items until you got it right.  Or he would get it himself or he would drag you to where the item was and try to use your body as a tool to get what he wanted (like you might use a stool or can opener).

Then we started chelation and he did start to play with his scripts to change them or alter them to make them funny.

Then he would use the same scripts only appropriately and for comunication.  Around this same time he also began to repeat the same attempt at conversation.  He would walk into a room and introduce himself and ask what is your name.  Then we would answer him but we would change up our responses a bit each time.  I swear he would do this 50 times a day.  He would stop strangers in stores with the same start, but then he would look at you like he was going to say something else but would just turn and leave instead.

From there his ability to have a two way conversation would increase with every round until he was even using w? and started to make small fibs which he found funny.  At this time the conversation would begin with a normal flow but he would get stuck somewhere along the way.  you could see him trying to come up with the word he wanted but he couldn’t and then he would just revert to his scripts.

As we continued to chelate, the length of conversation before he would get stuck would grow.  Then he started to become able to substitute one word for another or a group of words which would convey the same meaning as his lost word.  At this point the scripts pretty well faded away.

Now we have no more scripting.  We also had an autistic sing songy tone for the longest which went away.

I woke up one morning to a news piece on the measles outbreak at a Texas church whose preacher had the audacity to question vaccines.  Apparently there is a huge out break of this devastating disease which is making so many people sick.  Even a 4 month old baby got the disease!!!  Now the church has retracted its view and it is holding vaccine clinics in the church to urge members to get vaccinated.  Good for them. Right?

So now we must get ready for the great herd immunity debate to take place.  My facebook news feed is being inundated with accusations that the unvaxed children are putting the rest of the population at risk.  Normally, I can take these things in stride, as this is a debate of opinion and everyone is entitled to their own opinion.  That is part of what it means to have freedom of speech in this country.  Today, however, I do not feel so light-hearted and easy to accept the opinions of others.  Why you might ask?

Because I can see the storm churning in the distance.  I see the politics at play here.  This isn’t about opinion anymore.  This is about basic human rights.  Measles is being likened to small pox as if my unvaxed child is going to cause the downfall of the world.  This make me and him a menace to society.  It seems people listen to these news shows and they swallow all the emotional brainwashing hook line and sinker.  Reasonable people in most spheres of their lives are being convinced with the rhetoric of corporate greed.

I want to give fair warning here, because I am not sure I will be able to control myself if one of these people tried to speak to me in person about the importance of herd immunity.  In my current state I think I might just slap the first person who makes it their duty to educate me.  My child was mercury poisoned.  My child, in fact my entire family, has worked tirelessly to bring my child back from the cocoon created bt his inability to clear heavy metals and other toxins from his system.  Injecting toxins into my child means we will have to begin this process all over again and the past 6 years of hard work will be gone.  With an assault of this type on his system he may very well not ever recover.  Never be able to get a job, to have a family, to stand on his own two feet, or to take care of himself after I die.  Vaccinating my child is the same as murdering his future.  And I will let you in on a little secret:

To me, your child is not worth more than mine.  I refuse to willingly sacrifice my child so that your child doesn’t have to spend a couple weeks in discomfort.

Lets look at the numbers:

Number of deaths from measles prior to the vaccine: Out of the 3-4 million people per year who got measles only about 450 people died (all people, not just children).

Number of deaths from proper use of Rx medications:  100,000 people die each year from properly prescribed medications.

Number os deaths from car accidents: about 35,000 people die each year in car accidents

Number of children who will be diagnosed with autism this year:  With current rate of Autism in this country, approximately 45,000 children born EVERY YEAR will be diagnosed with Autism.  Approximately 662,500 children will be diagnosed with a learning delay EVERY YEAR.  These numbers do not take into account the rise in the rates of Autism each year, so these numbers are actually conservative.

Society has a lot of serious issue to worry about, but measles is not one if them.

I say true herd immunity is only gained by allowing our children to get childhood illnesses:

So you still expect t me to vaccinate my child to save yours?  I say the vaccine doesn’t protect any child from the measles.

I say that if you vaccinate your child, you are putting the rest of society at risk for much worse diseases, and you are causing a strain on the economy because of the increased medical care your unhealthy child will require.

I am sure many people will be offended by my stance on the vaccine issue, and by the fact that I have the audacity to blame the parents of vaccinated children for destroying herd immunity, causing the spread of disease, and harming the US economy.

Are Vaccinations Harram?

Islam, Vaccines and Health

A. Majid Katme, MBBCh, DPM (medical doctor)
Spokesman, Islamic Medical Association (UK)

A. Majid Katme, MBBCh,DPM

We are giving our innocent children haraam (forbidden) substances and harmful chemicals that destroy their natural immune systems, causing disease, suffering and death.  All Muslim doctors and parents should be aware of vaccine ingredients, and of the failed efficacy of vaccines.  The harm is clearly greater than the benefit.  The time has come to take a stand for truth.

Vaccine Ingredients

Vaccine ingredients include heavy metals, pus from sores of diseased animals, horse serum, calf serum, faecal matter, foetal cells, urine, macerated cancer cells, sweepings from diseased children, formaldehyde (a carcinogen used in embalming fluid), phenol (a carcinogen capable of causing paralysis, convulsions, coma, necrosis and gangrene), lactalbumin hydrolysate (an emulsifier), aluminium phosphate (an aluminium salt that is corrosive to tissues), retro-virus SV-40 (a contaminant virus in some polio vaccines), antibiotics (e.g., neomycin tm) that lead to antibiotic resistance, chick embryo (as a growth medium for the virus), sodium phosphate (a buffering salt), and foreign animal tissues containing genetic material (DNA/RNA) from the growth medium.  Vaccines are also contaminated with mycoplasma, bacteria, monkey viruses and various adjuvants.  Heavy metals include thiomersal (mercury) as a preservative and aluminium as an adjuvant.  Mercury and aluminium have each been proved to damage the brain and nervous system.  In some cases, thiomersal has been replaced by another neurotoxin known as 2PE.  Vaccines also contain monosodium glutamate (MSG), sorbitol, and gelatine.  Many of these ingredients are not allowed for Muslims, Jews, Hindus or vegetarians.

A Fatally-flawed System of Intervention

Vaccination is based on the long-discredited theory that stimulation of antibodies in the human body equals protection from disease.  This theory has not only failed to be proved, but has been repeatedly disproved.  Stimulation of antibodies does not equal immunity and certainly does not equal permanent immunity.  The presence of antibodies is merely a sign of exposure to a disease, which is just one small aspect of what makes up the immune system.  Children, with underdeveloped and immature immune systems, receive today about 25 separate vaccines by the age of 13 months.  There is no doubt this irresponsible system disrupts and can even destroy the development of their immune systems forever.

Vaccines commonly given to children in the United Kingdom today include – TWO MONTHS: diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis, HIB meningitis and polio + pneumococcal (six components, two needles); THREE MONTHS: diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis, HIB meningitis and polio + meningitis C (six components, two needles); FOUR MONTHS: diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis, HIB meningitis and polio + pneumococcal + meningitis C (seven components, three needles); 12 MONTHS: HIB meningitis and meningitis C (two components, two needles); 13 MONTHS: measles, mumps, rubella + pneumococcal vaccine (four components, two needles).  This reflects a grave medical assault inflicted on the small, weak, defenceless bodies of our innocent children.

Just a Few of the Monstrous Problems

Unthinkably, vaccine studies do not include placebo groups.  Instead, they use other vaccines in “control” groups, making it impossible to properly note actual rates of adverse events between a test group and real control group.  No research has been done on the long-term effects of vaccines.  Post-marketing data of reactions, injury and death go ignored.  Moreover, the system lacks individualization.  Apparently, one size fits all.  There is no pre-screening for immune problems and allergies.  Overloading the human body with infections and sub-infections will irreparably disrupt and destroy the immune system.  Chemicals in vaccines induce allergies, asthma, and autoimmune disease, including autism.  By the way, don’t let any indoctrinated doctor tell you vaccines do not cause autism.  Do your own research. Sexual immorality and adultery are stirred by offering our daughters HPV vaccination against cervical cancer.  Notably and incredibly, the HPV vaccine is shown to make some recipients even more susceptible to cervical cancer.  According to many scientific reports, there is additional concern that some vaccines cause infertility and are used for clandestine population control.  The proper role of medicine is to work to find and prevent the root cause of disease, not treat symptoms or fill the body with chemicals and vaccines.

Islam and Medical Science Must Oppose Vaccination

The case against vaccination is first an Islamic one, based on Islamic ethos regarding the perfection of the natural human body’s immune defence system, empowered by great and prophetic guidance to avoid most infections.  The case against vaccination is also a medical and health-related one.  Incredible evidence, unbeknownst to most, has emerged in the West regarding the many serious health hazards that affect those who have been vaccinated.

Islam and the Immune System

Colostrum in breast milk, a rich source of myriad antibodies, is extraordinarily important in conveying immunity to the child during the first few days after birth.  Breastfeeding up to two years gives incredible immunity into the future.  Medical studies evidence the amazing protection of breastfeeding against infections, even including poliomyelitis. The first two years of life are a crucial time during which the child’s body will develop a natural and mature immune system.  Vaccination disrupts and damages the natural process of human development.  God (Allah), the Creator, the Designer, has organised for the destruction of most germs and viruses through the natural process of entry-and-defence via skin, mucous, and the stomach. This process is very different from injection of a vaccine directly into the body without crossing natural defence barriers.  Twenty-five weakened diseases are destructively pushed by needlepoint into the bodies of our fragile children at a stage when they are developing their own natural defence systems.Infection and disease are medically proven to regularly succumb to spontaneous, self-remitting recovery.  Childhood bouts with infectious disease help build the immune system against future attacks.  As our beloved physician and prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, has told us, for every disease there is a cure.  The final holy book, Al Qur’an, is an awesome medical source for both prevention and cure of disease.  To best prepare the body, the Muslim should use natural and permissible nutrition from Yayyib (natural) food and drink.  Of further importance, we need to address the root causes of morbidity and mortality: poverty, malnutrition, lack of clean drinking water, lack of a healthy and natural foods, lack of proper sewage, and toxins in the environment and body. The Islamic behaviour of seeking halal (lawful) and avoiding harram has been linked to health throughout time by many Muslim doctors and scientists, especially in the field of preventative medicine.  Great care should be given to personal hygiene, including hand washing at about 25 times per day (15 times before the five daily prayers during wudu [absolution]).  Properly practising daily personal hygiene will avoid many infections.  Many fruits and other healthy foods prescribed in Islam have been found to prevent disease and strengthen the immune system, including olive and olive oil, ginger, grapes, pomegranate, vinegar, rosemary and figs.  Islamic-prescribed complementary medicine protects us from disease and strengthens our natural immune system, including honey, fasting, prayer (meditation), Du’A (special prayer) for the sick, black seed, Hijama (blood cupping), holy fruits and foods, breastfeeding, aromatherapy, Zam Zam (drinking holy water at Makkah, Saudi Arabia at the time of pilgrimage), and laying on of hands with a special prayer.  Frequent exposure to the sun for vitamin D and a diet rich in vitamin D prevents many diseases.  Islam prohibits Muslims from taking any harmful medicine or substance.  Even where there is doubt or controversy, Islam orders us to leave it completely.  This applies to vaccines.

The Truth Be Told

Harram in many vaccines include human foetuses, gelatine from pork, alcohol, and human and animal parts. These najis (unclean), haraam ingredients are not given in a state of emergency to save life at present. It is ridiculous to introduce myriad infective agents into millions of people as a “just in case” prevention of future infection. It is very wrong that Muslim doctors have adopted a medical intervention that contains so many haraams and harmful chemicals.
In Islam, the human body is holy.  We should protect and keep it natural, pure, healthy and safe.  As vaccines are neither pure nor natural, it is no wonder that science and medicine have found them to be so incredibly dangerous. A well-orchestrated pharmaceutical industry plan of scaremongering exists to create fear in parents who do not vaccinate their children.  Doctors and governments have been indoctrinated and corrupted by a gigantic and incredibly powerful industry into advocating obligatory vaccination, contrary to health and human and religious rights. This has happened not to advance health, but for profit.  Vaccines should not be pushed or forced on anyone.

The Case for Opposing Vaccination

  • It disrupts and destroys the natural immune systems of our innocent children
  • It produces many physical and medical problems
  • It increases antibiotic resistance among many patients
  • It can make many people sterile or infertile
  • It contains many harmful chemicals like mercury and aluminium
  • It lacks scientific, independent evidence of efficacy and safety
  • It contains many haraam substances for the 1600 million Muslims in the world (the latest of which is the vaccine for Meningitis for the Muslim Pilgrims who are going to Hajj was found to contain pork, which is harram.)
  • It also contains substances which are prohibited for Jews, Hindus and vegetariansIt is unhygienic and full of filth
  • It wastes trillions of dollars and is making the people and governments in poor third world countries poorer and more in debt, and the drug companies filthy rich
  • It is medically unethical, as it took us away from dealing with the causes of the diseases and work on prevention.  It is a very wrong medical practice to use a vaccine against every ill
  • It lacks transparency and informed consent.  Most parents, the public, and even doctors are not aware of its harms, ingredients and cost
  • A rising number of doctors, health professionals and parents are joining the campaign against vaccination (websites below)
  • We have many natural ways to build a natural strong immune system to fight most infections
  • We have many natural, safe alternatives
  • Incredibly, the Big Pharma producers of vaccines are exempt from any liability or prosecution, regardless of the number of people who die or are injured
  • Our innocent children are suffering and they gave no consent at all for the vaccines forced on them.  This constitutes a medical assault

How many children do you know of personally who have recovered by your definition of not needing a diet. not needing supplements being totally normal?  How many children do you know of?  -Thailia

I interpret “personally know of” very differently than doctors do.  I don’t just take the word or some doctor.  I only believe if I met them in person or if I talked to a lot of people over a lot of years who are observing them.  So from that much more limited stand point where I could testify, yes this is true, I know of dozens.  There are probably many hundreds or even a couple of thousand.  I know of many, many hundreds who are dramatically improved but they do need some ongoing support and probably the number is much more than that.  -Andy

Hearty Cold Kickin’ Chicken Soup

This is my favorite recipe for winter time cold and flu season.  It developed over time bit by bit as I learned more and more about herbs and how to incorporate healing herbs into superbly tasting healthy meals.  It tastes great, fills you up, and clears your head.  I serve this to the whole family any time one of us appears to be coming down with the sniffles, it’s great for head and sinus colds.  It can be prepared on the stove top or in the slow cooker whatever is preferred.

1 large onion, chopped
3 stalks celery, chopped (with leaves)
2 tbls butter ghee* (from grass fed cows)
2 carrots, sliced thin
1 liter of bone broth (can substitute organic chick broth)
4 chicken legs
1 can organic diced tomatoes and green chilies (RoTel style, or fresh if you prefer)
2 cups shitake mushrooms, chopped
1 leek, sliced thin
1.5  tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried oregano
2 bay leaves
2 tsp turmeric (curcumin) root powder
2 tsp reishi (mushroom) powder
1 tsp echinacea powder
1 tsp astragalus powder
1 bunch parsley, chopped
1/2 bunch green onions, sliced thin
1- 1.5  cup orzo (can also substitute cut vermicelli, barley, or even brown rice for a gluten free version)
salt and pepper to taste (the green chili will add heat so be careful with the pepper)
4-5 cloves garlic (use garlic press or finely mince and dd in the end let warm through, but don’t cook/boil)
(distilled water to fill an 8-10 qt soup pot)

Lightly saute the onions and celery in ghee until soft and translucent

Add next 13 ingredients and enough filtered water to almost fill the pot.  Simmer until chicken is done.

Remove chicken from the bone (discard skin and bones), cut into pieces and add back into the pot.

Add chopped parsley and green onions at this time as well.

After a few minutes add in the orzo and simmer until it is almost done.

Add the fresh garlic shortly before serving, adjust salt to taste.

The Terrible Tragedy of the Healthy Eater

This has to be one of the most hilarious blog posts I’ve read in a long while.  I can soooo relate as I reflect on moments in my own healthy eating journey that mirror much of what Erica so satirically captured in this wonderful post.  Don’t forget to click the link to finish reading the rest of the story.~

The Terrible Tragedy of the Healthy Eater

August 1, 2012 by Erica · 602 Comments

I know you. We have a lot in common. You have been doing some reading and now you are pretty sure everything in the grocery store and your kitchen cupboards is going to kill you.

Before Your Healthy Eating Internet Education:

I eat pretty healthy. Check it out: whole grain crackers, veggie patties, prawns, broccoli. I am actually pretty into clean eating.

After Your Healthy Eating Internet Education:

Those crackers – gluten, baby. Gluten is toxic to your intestinal health, I read it on a forum. They should call those crackers Leaky Gut Crisps, that would be more accurate. That veggie burger in the freezer? GMO soy. Basically that’s a Monsanto patty. Did you know soybean oil is an insecticide? And those prawns are fish farmed in Vietnamese sewage pools. I didn’t know about the sewage fish farming when I bought them, though, really I didn’t!

The broccoli, though..that’s ok. I can eat that. Eating that doesn’t make me a terrible person, unless….oh, shit! That broccoli isn’t organic. That means it’s covered with endocrine disrupting pesticides that will make my son sprout breasts. As if adolescence isn’t awkward enough.

And who pre-cut this broccoli like that? I bet it was some poor Mexican person not making a living wage and being treated as a cog in an industrial broccoli cutting warehouse. So I’m basically supporting slavery if I eat this pre-cut broccoli. Oh my God, it’s in a plastic bag too. Which means I am personally responsible for the death of countless endangered seabirds right now.

I hate myself.

Well, shit.

All you want to do is eat a little healthier. Really. Maybe get some of that Activa probiotic yogurt or something. So you look around and start researching what “healthier” means.

That really skinny old scientist dude says anything from an animal will give you cancer. But a super-ripped 60 year old with a best-selling diet book says eat more butter with your crispy T-Bone and you’ll be just fine as long as you stay away from grains. Great abs beat out the PhD so you end up hanging out on a forum where everyone eats green apples and red meat and talks about how functional and badass parkour is.

You learn that basically, if you ignore civilization and Mark Knopfler music, the last 10,000 years of human development has been one big societal and nutritional cock-up and wheat is entirely to blame. What we all need to do is eat like cave-people.

You’re hardcore now, so you go way past way cave-person. You go all the way to The Inuit Diet™.

Some people say it’s a little fringe, but you are committed to live a healthy lifestyle. “Okay,” you say, “let’s do this shit,” as you fry your caribou steak and seal liver in rendered whale blubber. You lose some weight which is good, but it costs $147.99 a pound for frozen seal liver out of the back of an unmarked van at the Canadian border.

Even though The Inuit Diet™ is high in Vitamin D, you learn that every disease anywhere can be traced to a lack of Vitamin D (you read that on a blog post) so you start to supplement. 5000 IU of Vitamin D before sitting in the tanning booth for an hour does wonders for your hair luster.

Maxing out your credit line on seal liver forces you to continue your internet education in healthy eating. As you read more you begin to understand that grains are fine but before you eat them you must prepare them in the traditional way: by long soaking in the light of a new moon with a mix of mineral water and the strained lacto-fermented tears of a virgin.

You discover that if the women in your family haven’t been eating a lot of mussels for at least the last four generations, you are pretty much guaranteed a $6000 orthodontia bill for your snaggle-tooth kid. That’s if you are able to conceive at all, which you probably won’t, because you ate margarine at least twice when you were 17.

Healthy eating is getting pretty complicated and conflicted at this point but at least everyone agrees you should eat a lot of raw vegetables.

Soon you learn that even vegetables are trying to kill you. Many are completely out unless they are pre-fermented with live cultures in a specialized $79 imported pickling crock. Legumes and nightshades absolutely cause problems. Even fermentation can’t make those healthy.

Goodbye, tomatoes. Goodbye green beans. Goodbye all that makes summer food good. Hey, it’s hard but you have to eliminate these toxins and anti-nutrients. You probably have a sensitivity. Actually, you almost positively have a sensitivity. Restaurants and friends who want to grab lunch with you will just have to deal.

A 3 litre jar of salsa, ready to start fermenting. Recipe at the Wikibooks Cookbook. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

I am finally catching the lactofermented bug.  Oh My!!  But it really does taste good, and for those overseas you just can’t beat the free shipping on quality probiotics.

If done properly, fermented salsa will last months in the fridge or in cold storage and get more probiotics with age.

Lacto Fermented Salsa Recipe

Ingredients and Supplies:

2.5-3 lbs of tomatoes of choice

1-2 onions

4 (or more) cloves of minced garlic

Fresh Parsley (avoid cilantro while chelating)

1 lemon, juiced

1 lime, juiced

2 TBSP sea salt or celtic salt

Spices to taste ( I use oregano, pepper, cumin, chili and cayenne)

Peppers (sweet or spicy.. I use cayenne and habanero but sweet peppers work great too if you don’t like spicy!)

1/2 cup whey (make your own!)

How to Make Fermented Salsa

Chop tomatoes, peppers, onion and cilantro and mince garlic. If you have a food processor, your could definitely use it to speed up this step!

Toss all ingredients into large bowl

Add the juice of the lemon and lime

Add salt and spices to taste

Add whey and stir well to incorporate.

Pour into quart of half gallon size mason jars and cap tightly.

Leave on the counter for approximately 2 days.

Transfer to fridge or cold storage (oh, I wish I had a cellar or basement!)

Will last up to 8 months (that’s the longest I’ve tested!) if kept cold and flavor will intensify slightly over time. I find it actually tastes best after a couple weeks in the fridge to let flavors mingle a little more.

A Fast and Easy Tip

If you don’t have the time or ingredients to make your own salsa, you can get the benefits of fermented salsa by fermenting store bought salsa as well. If possible, use the fresh made salsas in the refrigerated section, but you can ferment canned versions also.

I tried this after reading this tip from Cheeseslave, and it works great. I had a lot of salsa that I had canned last year, and I’ve fermented it all before using it now to up the probiotic balance. I also fermented my homemade ketchup, barbecue sauce, pasta sauce, etc and they all tasted great!

Parasites: It’s that Time Again

An Ikea garlic press, with pressed garlic.

Just in case the holidays have distracted you, its a little reminder.  It’s Parasite time again.  The full moon is coming in 4 days so if you were waiting for it to begin your next cleanse, the time is now.

Parasitic infections are acquired naturally through foods, other humans or animals. They can  be contracted by playing in soil or walking outside barefoot.  Pets can carry parasites and transmit them to your child if they are not treated for parasites periodically.   Parasites cause disease or illness in our bodies. They contribute to nutritional deficiencies, malabsorption and intestinal dysfunction. Parasites release waste products into your child’s body that can affect health.

Signs that your child needs a cleanse:

Chronic Constipation
Digestive Problems
Abdominal Pain
Mucus in the Stools
Leaky Gut

Itchy Nose
Itchy Anus
Itchy Skin
Allergic Reactions to Food
Weeping Eczema

Mood Swings
Unclear Thinking

Teeth Grinding During Sleep
Bed Wetting
Drooling While Asleep
Disturbed Sleep – Multiple Awakenings

WEIGHT & APPETITE PROBLEMS – Parasites live undetected by their hosts. They rob the body of all essential nutrients (they get the choicest nutrition from the food you eat) and you are left with the fats, sugars, etc. Many overweight persons are infested with parasites, they stay hungry which leads to overeating because of the parasites. Depending on the type of parasite infestation, many people are malnourished, they can’t gain weight, again, because of the parasites.

Nutrition and Supplements

  • Avoid simple carbohydrates, such as those found in refined foods, fruits, juices, dairy products, and all sugars, except honey.
  • Raw garlic, pumpkin seeds, pomegranates, beets, and carrots,  have been used traditionally to kill parasites. In one study, researchers found that a mixture of honey and papaya seeds cleared stools of parasites in 23 out of 30 subjects. Drink a lot of water to help flush out the system.
  • Fiber, may help get rid of worms.
  • Probiotics (Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacilus plantarum, Saccharomyces boulardii, and bifidobacteria, one to two times per day between meals) help keep the digestive tract healthy.
  • Digestive enzymes will help restore the

intestinal tract to its normal state, which makes it inhospitable to parasites. Papain is an enzyme from the papaya plant that may help kill worms when taken 30 minutes before or after meals.

  • Vitamin C (250 – 500 mg two times a day) or, if well-tolerated, much higher doses of up to 6,000 mg per day in otherwise healthy adults — supports the immune system. Lower vitamin C dose if diarrhea develops.
  • Zinc (20 – 30 mg per day) — also helps support the immune system.

Herbs are generally a safe way to strengthen and tone the body’s systems. You may use herbs as dried extracts (capsules, powders, teas), glycerites (glycerine extracts), or tinctures (alcohol extracts).

  • Garlic (Allium sativum)
  • Barberry (Berberis vulgaris)
  • Goldenseal (Hydrastis canadensis)
  • Oregon grape (Berberis aquifolium)
  • Anise (Pimpinella anisum)
  • Wormwood (Artemisia annua)
  • Curled mint (Mentha crispa)
  • Black walnuts (Juglans nigra)
  • Cloves

Before prescribing a remedy, homeopaths take into account a person’s constitutional type — your physical, emotional, and intellectual makeup. An experienced homeopath assesses all of these factors as well as any current symptoms when determining the most appropriate remedy for a particular individual. The following remedies may be used:

  • Cina
  • Cuprum oxidatum nigrum
  • Indigo
  • Teucrium
  • Podophyllum
  • Spigelia
  • Sabadilla
  • Stanum

Symptoms that occur during a cleanse usually appear during the first 7-10 days:

  • more frequent stools (2-3 times a day) in the first week
  • symptoms of irritability
  • depressed, moody or brain fog
  • fatigue
  • headache

In some cases your child may not have any side effects, but a strong reaction implies a more significant infection, which demonstrates a need for the cleanse. Antioxidants and liver support can be helpful when die off reactions are bothersome.

Infant mortality rates regressed against number of vaccine doses routinely given: Is there a biochemical or synergistic toxicity?

The US childhood immunization schedule requires 26 vaccine doses for infants aged less than 1 year, the most in the world, yet 33 nations have better IMRs. Using linear regression, the immunization schedules of these 34 nations were examined and a correlation coefficient of 0.70 (p < 0.0001) was found between IMRs and the number of vaccine doses routinely given to infants. When nations were grouped into five different vaccine dose ranges (12–14, 15–17, 18–20, 21–23, and 24–26), 98.3% of the total variance in IMR was explained by the unweighted linear regression model. These findings demonstrate a counter-intuitive relationship: nations that require more vaccine doses tend to have higher infant mortality rates.

Efforts to reduce the relatively high US IMR have been elusive. Finding ways to lower preterm birth rates should be a high priority. However, preventing premature births is just a partial solution to reduce infant deaths. A closer inspection of correlations between vaccine doses, biochemical or synergistic toxicity, and IMRs, is essential. All nations—rich and poor, advanced and developing—have an obligation to determine whether their immunization schedules are achieving their desired goals.

Daily Kos: The Story of Julian (goodbye to autism)

The Story of Julian (goodbye to autism)

First, the Before picture

Here is my son Julian, at four years old: he couldn’t play with toys; he scowled most of the time; he had explosive, violent rages; had little or no recognition of danger; panicked easily; aggressive; little to no tolerance for changes of any sort; intolerant of light, loud noises, anyone touching him; constantly sick with asthma, ear infections, virus after virus after virus.

Julian would compulsively rub his head all over me and want to put his hands and head under my shirt. He made strange noises a lot of the time, something like the sound dolphins make. His outbursts of rage seemed most of the time to come out of nowhere.

How I found the way out, after the fold. It gets worse before it gets better.

He never played with his little sister, but rather could not tolerate her presence at all, and we couldn’t leave the two of them alone because Julian could unpredictably become aggressive. He never expressed empathy for people or animals. He was not developing any capacity to play by himself. At times he seemed not to be able to think clearly, although he was very intelligent. No pretend play whatsoever. At school he was self-contained; he didn’t explode, but made no friends and did not become actively involved in what was happening. He watched. He never waved hello — he didn’t seem to understand the point of greetings at all.

Our home life was, as you might guess, a disaster. My husband and I were deeply stressed out and my little daughter was routinely very frightened. We pretty much stayed home all the time because crowds made Julian so upset, but home was no place of calm no matter how much we worked at making it that way. On his third birthday I invited three kids and their moms over, people he had spent a lot of time with, and his reaction, when the first child arrived with a smile and a present, was to scream, “I HATE OTHER PEOPLE!” and run upstairs to his room and refuse to come back.

It’s also true that Julian could be extremely interesting to talk to. He invented his own terminologies, he asked questions such as “Who invented language?” while fighting the carseat buckle, he could draw pictures from perspectives that were absolutely his own, unique and strange and lovely.

At that point I was a nearly total believer in mainstream medicine. He got every vaccination on time, he went to every well-visit, I gave him fluoride drops because the pediatrician told me to, round after round of antibiotics because the pediatrician told me to. I followed directions. But I had a child who was a wreck, and sick nearly all the time. When I suggested that something might be wrong, she reassured me that he was fine (a story many many parents of autistic kids can tell). Julian was my first child, my mother died before he was one, my other relatives thought he behaved badly because I was a crummy parent — so I relied on the pediatrician’s observations.

But then Julian fell off a cliff. He spiraled into a meltdown that wouldn’t quit. Hours and hours of crying every day, violent, vicious hissing talk about how he wanted to chop me up into little pieces and put me in the trashcan, how he wanted to kill people, how he wanted to die. He was FOUR……..

9 Questions That Stump Every

Pro-Vaccine Advocate and Their Claims

Lire en Français

Since the flu pandemic was declared, there have been several so-called “vaccine experts” coming out of the wood work attempting to justify the effectiveness of vaccines. All of them parrot the same ridiculous historical and pseudoscientific perspectives of vaccinations which are easily squelched with the following 9 questions.

Claim: The study of vaccines, their historical record of achievements, effectiveness, safety and mechanism in humans are well understood and proven in scientific and medical circles.

Fact: The claim is completely false.

1. What to ask: Could you please provide one double-blind, placebo-controlled study that can prove the safety and effectiveness of vaccines?

2. What to ask: Could you please provide scientific evidence on ANY study which can confirm the long-term safety and effectiveness of vaccines?

3. What to ask: Could you please provide scientific evidence which can prove that disease reduction in any part of the world, at any point in history was attributable to inoculation of populations?

4. What to ask: Could you please explain how the safety and mechanism of vaccines in the human body are scientifically proven if their pharmacokinetics (the study of bodily absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion of ingredients) are never examined

or analyzed in any vaccine study?

Autism Study Reveals No Genetic Associations

Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) include everything from the relatively mild Asperger syndrome (characterized by more mild social and language impairments) to full-fledged autism (characterized by severe social and communicative handicaps, limited interests, and repetitive behaviors).  ASD is relatively common, and in the United States it is estimated that one out of every 54 boys is affected (the frequency in girls is considerably lower, averaging one affected girl out of every 252). Although genetics certainly plays a role in these conditions, exactly how is not fully understood, and this newest study, led by Richard Anney (Trinity College of Dublin) and Bernie Devlin (University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine), is the next a long line of scientific inquiries to this point.

Their study, known as the Autism Genome Project (AGP), was conducted in two stages. The first stage of consisted of a genome-wide association study using genetic data from 1400 families affected by autism; the second stage checked the associations discovered in the first stage using the genetic data from an additional 1301 ASD-affected families and included another new genome-wide association study which combined the study subjects from both stages.

When all the analyses were said and done, no SNPs (common genetic variations) were significantly associated with ASD. Furthermore, when some of the SNPs that had been identified in the first study as possibly associated with ASD were tested in the second-stage families, the associations failed to hold up.  This lack of common SNPs associated with ASD is both disappointing and enlightening.

Knowledge of what is not true, paradoxically, is knowledge of what is true.  For instance, if I tell you that my pet Tyger is not a dog, you are one step closer to knowing Tyger’s a cat.  Most of science progresses through “not trues” — the failed hypotheses that bring us closer to real understanding. A perfect example of this mode of scientific progress is this recent genetic study.  Their lack of findings was quite a finding.

The fact that no SNPs were associated with ASD in such a large study suggests that the effect of any one common SNP is quite small. Even when all the SNPs were used together to predict whether a study subject would have ASD, the model explained less than 1% of differences in risk for the condition.

The fact that these common SNPs have little power to predict ASD does not mean that genetics is unimportant.  Twin studies suggest that ASD is at least moderately heritable, suggesting that genetics does play a role.  This current study’s lack of findings supports the idea that common genetic variations may play a smaller role than rare mutations or copy number variation (the number of copies of a given gene) in ASD risk. Thus, the lack of ASD associations today has, hopefully, brought us closer to tomorrow’s discoveries.
